We've Got It Covered #70

It's half time in the rugby and I am incredibly pumped up, my heart tells me that Scotland are going to do it. My more sensible head tells me it's all going to end in glorious failure. Having been up since the back of five I am starting to think that I must be due a little bit of luck, then again rarely ever does luck favour Scotland when it comes to sport.
It might be a bit daft to let one wee game of ruby have such a massive bearing on my mood for the rest of the day, but it's pretty damn tough. After last weeks lost loss to Argentina I was pretty much in a stinking mood for the rest of the week. Thankfully though things have started to pick up towards the end of the week as the reviews for The Moth & The Mirror album started to come through. Getting the album of the month in the Skinny had Team Olive Grove squealing like little girls! Yesterday was equally as exciting as the albums got delivered, affa pretty they are too. If you are coming along to the Scottish Independent Record Fair at Platform this evening then this will be the first opportunity that you'll have to get your grubby mitts on a copy. We will of course have all of our back catalogue for sale, plus some specially handmade Randolph's Leap CDs for sale too. The record fair is being put on to coincide with the Eastern Promise show, which features To Rococo Rot, The Pastels, Silje Nes, Animal Magic Tricks and Conquering Animal Sound.Which in a round about way brings me to this weeks cover version which comes from Conquering Animal Sound and their take on Robyn's 'Dancing On My Own'. If you're coming along to the gig make sure you come and see me and Halina at the Olive Grove stall. That's the second half just started, time to get back to the rubgy, fingers and toes crossed...

- Now heartbroken (again)
