The Outsider Festival has been cancelled

Bit of a bugger as I was thinking of going to this, cheap tickets and a quality line up, no details available yet as to what's happened, but yet again another Homecoming Scotland Festival has been cancelled. There is nothing about it on their website, although an official announcement is expected on Monday.

Teenage Fanclub announced for the Outsider Festival

Teenage Fanclub, have been announced as the other headline act for The Outsider Festival at the end of June. Personally i think they'd be perfect in that slot, certainly a lot more exciting than the bird from Texas.

Outsider Festival line-up announced

After a years hiatus, the Outsider Festival returns under the banner of the Homecoming Scotland campaign, it certainly looks better than the ned-fest event that is the Homecoming Festival. Set in the Rothiemurchus Estate, near Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park, this years line-up includes:

Earlybird tickets are now available at a very reasonable £50.00 (non-camping)/ £65 (camping) plus the unavoidable booking fee - for the weekend. Seems pretty damn cheap to me, considering TITP is about 3 times that price, plus there should hopefully be less neds/f*ckwits.
