Wednesday - Our eighteenth entry into the Scots Way-Hay club was synthpop wonder kid Tokyo Knife Attack, if you missed it make sure you check this as it's a corker
Thursday - A live recording of Errors at the London Calling festival in Amsterdam, Boab also awoke from hibernation to plug a wee gig for charity
Friday - As always, it's freebie time, my personal favourite this week came from 'I Build Collapsible Mountains', trust me kids, it's good, oh so very good.
Saturday - Lovers Turn To Monsters became our fourth We've Got It Covered post, with his wonderful interpretation of Elliot Smith's 'Needle in the Hay'. Make sure you check his free covers album out, there are some class tunes on there

If you are free this afternoon, then head along to Creation Studios in Glasgow, for the second Words Per Minute event. It all kicks off at 4pm (I think they want you there for about half three though), it features sets from Sophie Cooke, Craig Lamont, Adam Stafford, Rodge Glass/Adrian Searle, Iain Campbell, Emily Ballou and The Shutdown (Short Film). There will also be a short DJ Set from Miaoux Miaoux afterwards, it's on £2 too.
On Monday night, Adam Thompson, or the lead singer of We Were Promised Jetpacks, as you probably know him, plays a solo show at the Captains Rest in Glasgow, tickets are on sale here.
On Tuesday, Peenko favourites, Kid Canaveral and Loves Turn To Monsters play at the Glasgow Slow Club in Bloc, expect acoustic interpretations of their tunes. Should be a cracking evening.
Alternatively, you could always head down to the Captains Rest to catch the French Wives, Trapped in Kansas and Emma Curran. Why do all the good gigs have to be on the same night?!
The following night in Sleazys, Mitchell Musuem celebrate the release of their new single 'Warning Bells'. Cracking tune, cracking band, get yourself down to this, it's going to be hot and sweaty. Oh and Inspector Tapehead and GRNR, nice.
Euan from the Steinberg Principle blog has started up his own tribute project to the musicians Elliott Smith, Vic Chesnutt and Mark Linkous. These artists all suffered from some form of depression and sadly ended up taking their own lives. In order to do his bit, Euan has managed to pull together a wide range of musicians from Scotland and further afield, to cover songs by Smith/Chesnutt and Linkous (Sparklehorse). Each track is available to download for £1 with all proceeds going to Depression Alliance UK, just head on over to the Bandcamp page.
White Heath have a couple of gigs lined up this week, on Friday you can catch them at King Tut's with Woodenbox with a Fistful of Fivers as part of the Electric Honey showcase night, then the following night they're in Edinburgh at the Electric Circus' 1st birthday do, alongside Withered Hand who will be doing a wee solo set.
Some of my fellow bloggers have organised their own night of DJ-ing at the Flying Duck next Saturday, if you aren't going to Snow Patrol (yes Snow Patrol, I like 'em, alright, plus Frabbit are supporting), or if you can't be arsed with the England v America game, then this might be the best way to escape it all. It's free, it kicks off at 7pm, or at least its free up until 11pm, after which you need to pay £4, as that's when 'Half My Heart Beats : An Indie Pop Dance Party' kicks off. Kicking it off are Jim from the Vinyl Villain and Drew from 'Across The Kitchen Table'. Get yourself along and see the 'oldest DJ in town, Fatboy Jim will be in da house......'
If you live in Inverness, or are heading up to this weeks GoNorth, and you want to learn more about the music industry, then you'd be advised to get yourself along to the 'Born To Be Wide' seminars.
Next weekend there is another cracking line up at the Halt Bar Hijack, which includes sets from
John Knox Sex Club, Washington Irving and Foxgang. Further information can be found on their Facebook page.
